Balcony Safety Nets on OMR & Sholinganallur: What Every IT Corridor Family Needs

OMR is Chennai's IT spine — Sholinganallur, Navalur, Siruseri, Perungudi and Thoraipakkam are packed with 15–30 storey towers where families with young kids are the norm. At those heights, a strong, cyclone-rated safety net isn't optional.

Why OMR flats demand cyclone-grade nets

The Bay of Bengal is 3 km east. Every October–December, cyclonic winds and salt spray hit east-facing OMR balconies harder than anywhere else in Chennai. Cheap PP nets shred inside 12 months. We install only 2mm braided nylon or HDPE with marine-grade 316 SS anchors.

Popular OMR communities we serve

• Prestige Bougainvillea & Prestige Courtyards, Sholinganallur
• Casagrand Cielo & Casagrand Bloom, Navalur
• Hiranandani Upscale, Egattur
• Akshaya Adora, Padur
• Radiance Empire & DRA Ascot, Perungudi

Kid & pet safety features we always install

• 1.5–2mm braided nylon, load-tested above 100 kg per cable
• Colour-matched transparent or black finish (association-friendly)
• Concealed 316 SS hooks — no rust for 10+ years
• Optional dual-layer for pigeons + kids in the same balcony
