Problems We Solve

Common Chennai Balcony Problems — and the Right Fix

Pigeons nesting on the balcony, droppings on clothes and AC units

UV-treated HDPE pigeon net fixed to the parapet with SS hooks — birds are blocked, air and light are not.

Toddler or pet can slip through balcony railing gaps

Nylon child safety net (25–40 mm mesh) tensioned across the full opening, tested to hold adult weight.

Grill quotes look ugly and block the sea/city view

Invisible grill with 2.5 mm 316-grade SS cable at 3 inch spacing — near-invisible from inside.

Objects falling into the apartment duct or stilt parking

Mid-shaft duct net that catches debris and can be inspected and re-tensioned yearly.

Birds roosting on building elevation and signage

Large-span anti-bird net anchored to the structure with turnbuckles and border rope.

Old net sagging, torn or discoloured after 2–3 monsoons

Removal of the old net, re-drilling only where needed, and replacement with UV-stabilised material.

Floor drying stand blocks a small balcony or utility area

Ceiling-mounted pulley cloth hanger with independently lowered rods for easy loading and space-saving drying.

Porur, Chennai

Pigeon net for a 3rd-floor wrap-around balcony

20 mm UV-treated HDPE net across 210 sq ft, with a separate removable flap for AC servicing.
Outcome:
Nesting stopped completely; the flap lets the technician service the unit without cutting the net.

Children safety net for a 12th-floor balcony

Problem:
Railing gap of 6 inches with a 2-year-old at home; association did not allow railing height changes.
Solution:

Outcome:
Installed in a single 3-hour visit with zero changes to the exterior elevation.

OMR / Sholinganallur, Chennai

Invisible grill for a sea-facing living room window

Problem:
Owner wanted security without losing the sea view that traditional MS grills would block.

Outcome:
View preserved; cables selected for coastal salt air resistance rather than cheaper 304 grade.

Birds roosting on ledges across the whole front elevation; common area cleaning cost rising.
Solution:
Single large-span anti-bird net anchored with turnbuckles and a 6 mm border rope across 1,400 sq ft.
